PROFET™ family with simple diagnosis
By introducing four new devices in the 130 to 300mΩ range, Infineon expands its PROFET
TM portfolio with a new family of high side drivers with status output.
The products come in different packages, offering design flexibility or board space reduction by load integration:
• BTS 4300SGA: 300mΩ / single channel / PG-DSO8
• BTS 4175SGA: 175mΩ / single channel / PG-DSO8
• BTS 4160DGA: 160mΩ / dual channel / PG-DSO14
• BTS 4130QGA: 130mΩ / four channel / PG-DSO20
The devices are automotive qualified and offer basic protection functions, such as short-circuit protection, overload protection or over temperature protection.
Key features
- Protection against: short circuit, overload, over temperature, loss of Vbb and GND, overvoltage, reverse battery
- Very low standby current
- Status output: OL@OFF, over temperature
Applications
- All types of resistive (e.g. 5-10W bulbs), inductive (e.g. relays) and capacitive loads
- Replaces electromechanical relays, fuses and discrete circuits
